BC Supreme Court to hear civil applications related to Fairy Creek logging dispute

Teal Cedar Products is looking to have the injunction order extended by a year to Sept. 26, 2022. The company says that without the court order and police presence, protestors would prevent logging operations worth $32 million.

BC extends state of emergency

“Extending this state of emergency recognizes that the potential for significant wildfire activity persists, even as the nights get longer and the days cool down a bit,” said Mike Farnworth, B.C. Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General, in a statement.
