Some lumber prices increase as August comes to an end: Madison's

In the week ending August 18, the price of Western S-P-F 2x4 #2&Btr KD (RL) was US$397 mfbm. This is up by $13, or three per cent, from the previous week when it was $397.


New Brunswick releases State of the Forest 2023 report

New Brunswick has released the report entitled "Excellence in Forest Management – Understanding our System" to provide more awareness of the way Crown forests are managed.


Feds providing additional resources to combat wildfires in B.C.

Canadian Armed Forces resources will be provided for an initial period of three weeks starting on August 28, with an extension possible following a joint evaluation of the situation.


Nova Scotia announces new Archibald Lake Wilderness Area

A new provincial wilderness area that covers 684 hectares and includes old-growth forest, hardwood drumlins, lakes and wetland will protect old-growth forest and animal and fish habitat.
