Minister Ng denounces U.S. increase in softwood lumber duties

Trade Minister Mary Ng has expressed deep disappointment over the U.S. decision to increase duties on Canadian softwood lumber from 8.05 per cent to 14.54 per cent.


B.C. ministers criticize U.S. softwood lumber duty increase, vow to fight 'unfair tariffs'

Ralston criticized the move as "unfair and unwarranted", while Mercier vowed to continue the fight against these “unjustified” duties.


BC Lumber Trade Council opposes increased U.S. softwood lumber duties

BCLTC president Kurt Niquidet warned that the tariff hike comes at a particularly challenging time for BC producers, threatening jobs and manufacturing operations across the province.
