There are endless career options for boom truck operators. As a boom truck operator, you will operate and service hoisting equipment used to move machinery and other large objects. You will learn to set up, service, and operate hydraulic booms mounted on turrets affixed to trucks capable of moving heavy loads. This program will prepare apprentice boom truck operators for the Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training Journeyperson theory and practical examinations. The program is available throughout Alberta, including Lloydminster, Bonnyville, and Grande Prairie in spring 2019.
