Power Engineering 3rd Class is an Alberta certification by which the operation and maintenance of boilers and associated equipment in heating plants and other industrial settings are governed. This program prepares students to write their Part A1, A2, B1, and B2 ABSA (Alberta Boilers & Safety Association) Certification Exams. Note that there is a firing time requirement for 3rd Class Power Engineer certification, which may be accomplished either at an approved power/steam facility, or through attending an approved Power Lab.
