Managing the Global Adjustment's impact on manufacturing energy costs [Webinar]

Dec. 15, 1:00 p.m. EST - Register Now
In September 2016, the Ontario Legislature committed to significantly expanding the Industrial conservation Initiative (ICI), a program designed to help businesses slash the Global Adjustment (GA) portion of their electricity bill by as much as 34 per cent.

Essentially, up to 2,000 new companies will for the first time be put in control of the single line item that defines 60 per cent to 80 per cent of their total energy costs. While it sounds great, figuring out what this means for your company and its power spend going forward is less than straightforward.

Indeed, there is a risk that joining the program may actually wind up costing you money.

Join us for a 45-minute webinar that will help you unpack this latest regulatory change and how to make it work for you. The webinar will cover:
  • An energy manager's insight on managing GA costs in manufacturing
  • Class A energy users and the Five Coincident Peaks
  • An overview of the Industrial Conservation Initiative
  • The decision to opt-in to the program now, or to wait
  • The types of companies that stand to benefit most from the program
  • How to forecast the peaks and valleys of provincial energy use, and why that matters to you
Hear from Marzieh Baghi, Project Manager at Sofina Foods Inc. (and certified energy manager); along with Chris Loughren, Manager of Commercial Energy Solutions with Bruce Power Direct.
