New Faces

Changes at BVL… As some of you already know, Russ has taken a leave of absence from BVL. He, together with his family, are headed to Quebec City on a volunteer mission program for the next couple years. In the meantime, we will do our best to keep your needs supplied. Ron is taking over any special order electrical, and plumbing such as tubs and showers, as well as any special order power tools.

Tanya has taken over most of the stock ordering by way of hardware, electrical, tools etc. Jordan will continue to look after your window, door (including hardware), siding and roofing needs. We've also hired new help, so you'll be seeing new faces around here. Thank you for your continued support.

20^th Annual Event – Save the Date!

We will be having our 20^th Annual Customer Appreciation Day and Contractor Night on May 4, 2017. We have our barbeque hot dogs and hamburgers for lunch with a lunch donation going to a charity of our choice. We then have a contractor evening complete with a full meal including a smoked prime rib roast and all the fixings. Just a casual evening for contractors and suppliers to get together and talk about business, products or other information.

Contractor Box Program

Trex has introduced a Contractor Box Program and they are offering it to you! What is that you ask? This is a program designed to have your sales team identify new leads through your customer base. The idea is to identify a customer that may not have considered using Trex for an upcoming project and push them into your store. The Contractor Box includes: Sample swatch, Brochures and installation guides, Trex Pencil/Hat, Trex Pro App, and a letter that is addressed from your sales person to the customer. This is to direct them back to your store.

Flyers

Cathelle offers a program that is specific to each individual member. They will send you a flyer (1page, 2 sided) that you can customize with your store logo and information on it. You can print them in-house or take them to your local printer. Cathelle will also send you the special order form so you are able to take advantage of the flyer items at a lower cost. Santa Monica Member Conference

The annual Sexton Member Conference in sunny Santa Monica was a success! With over 200 members and suppliers in attendance, we had a large number of first time participants and younger Members who joined us this year.

The event took place over four days, which included a trade show, guided tours, party on the pier, dine around and the Hollywood Route 66 theme farewell. We would like to thank all vendor partners who participated in this event and helped make it a great success.

The Cedar Shop's manufactured items are made with western red cedar, which is much more resilient to weather than most species of wood. Easi-Lite gypsum board, is up to 30% lighter than standard gypsum boards and can be used for both interior ceilings and walls in residential and commercial applications. The lightweight board is easy to score and snap and enables quicker and easier installation, reducing strain and fatigue for the do-it-yourself homeowner or contractor. Easi-Lite is designed with sag resistance and is ideal for 1/2-inch ceiling applications, allowing for one board type to be used on the interior walls or ceilings.
