This Canadian Contractor Site TipM was sent in by Darryl Connolly, Black Pearl Homes, Wainwright, Alberta.
Darryl writes: "One hack we've been using when installing drywall is a method to precisely located where all the pot lights and octo boxes are underneath that ceiling drywall. Before we put up the drywall, we simply mark the centre of all the locations on the floor - using a simple plumb bob. Then when our drywall is up, a laser level (or again, a plumb bob) can be used to mark the centre of each box on the ceiling." They are then easy to zip out, with no guessing or cuts in the wrong locations.
Congratulations, Darryl, for winning this month's Shell Gas Card (on it's way to you in the mail!) for sending in this excellent Site Tip.
