With all the break-ins in our rural area, it's easier to increase security BEFORE you are broken into, not after. Upgrade from a standard garage door on your shop or garage to a commercial steel door with a steel jamb and deadbolt. Business mentoring

If you've been in business for a number of years, chances are you had advice or help from someone along the way. If you are a more recent entry into the business world you may have questions that you would like to ask someone but aren't sure who to ask.

The chamber of commerce mentoring program seeks to put two people from similar industries together for an informal chat six times over a three-month period. The person being mentored puts forward a topic or question that they'd like to discuss at their next meeting. The mentor shares how they've dealt with that issue in their life at a ½ hr meeting. It's just that easy.

If you aren't sure if you would be a mentor or a mentee, sign up for both. It is my belief that everyone should be mentored by someone, and everyone should be a mentor to someone. You may be surprised what you can learn, and what someone can learn from you.
