Suzanne Walsh continues her Growth with Sexton Group

Suzanne Walsh continues her Growth with Sexton Group

After 6 1/2 years of serving the eastern market as a Business Development Manager, and then Senior Business Development Manager, Suzanne Walsh has taken on a new role as Director of Business Development with Sexton Group. Suzanne has been an integral part of the growth Sexton Group has experienced in the east and has shown an unwavering commitment to the needs of Sexton Group’s members. She has stepped up on special projects and to help her other team members on numerous occasions, and her leadership skills have been clear throughout her time so far with Sexton.
Suzanne has regularly demonstrated a commitment to learning, and recently completed her Mini MBA at the Schulich School of Business (York University in Toronto) with the support of SFOC. This program is intended to offer a unique business education directly related to a professional career. The topics covered are core MBA topics, from finance and marketing to strategy and business analysis. Suzanne quickly put what she learned in this program to use, applying the content to meetings with members, interactions with colleagues and now most recently in her new role. This program took serious dedication of time and energy on Suzanne’s part, and it has afforded her a review of all aspects of business, with an emphasis on concepts to empower her as a better leader.

Now, in her new role Suzanne will lead the Company’s strategic growth initiative, including existing member growth and new member expansion. The Business Development Managers will now report to Suzanne and will be instrumental in the successful execution of Sexton’s national growth initiatives.

Congratulations Suzanne on your well-deserved achievements during your time so far with Sexton Group. We look forward to seeing you succeed in your new role!

Prior to the show, Sexton Group help a Western Members meeting where an overview of the business and show specials were presented to members.
The meeting was well attended once again. Thank you to our members, your consistent commitment to showing up and engaging at these meetings is incredibly helpful to our team when it comes to serving you all best.

Time Management Tips & Tools to keep you on track

When you have multiple things on the go, it can be overwhelming and slow down overall productivity if your time is not properly managed. Here are a few tips & tools to help with time management:

Create a Work Back Schedule: A Work Back Schedule is a project planning tool in which managers set goals and milestones in reverse order, beginning at the final deadline. This can help to determine an accurate time commitment for a project, and keep you on track step by step.

Time Audit: Conducting a time audit can help you identify where your time is being spent and how you can optimize it. Track your time for a week or two and analyze where you are spending it. You will be able to identify patterns and areas of improvement more easily.

Task batching: Task batching is the process of grouping similar tasks together. By doing similar tasks at the same time, it is easier for your brain to remain focused, rather than jumping into something completely different.

Be aware of the Paretto Principle: You may have heard of the 80/20 rule, which states that 80% of outcomes result from 20% of inputs. This means identifying what are your most important tasks can help you achieve better results.
