Northcoast Building Products Team Participates in Vancouver Sun Run
Some of the team members at Northcoast Building Products got out and participated in Vancouver Sun Run 2025.
For four decades, the Vancouver Sun Run has been an event to unite communities and inspire fitness in Vancouver.
The Vancouver Sun Run has been Canada’s largest 10K road race since it’s inception in 1985, and is currently the third largest timed 10k in North America.
Founded by former Canadian Olympians Dr. Doug and Diane Clement along with Dr. Jack Taunton, the first run attracted 3,200 participants. Through the years the run has transformed into a huge event, with thousands upon thousands descending upon the streets of Vancouver each year ready to race on Sun Run Sunday. The run is supported by a host committee and over 1,500 volunteers.
Ron Sargeant, Owner at Northcoast, and Manjot Nijjar, Vice President, have been participating in the run for many years, inviting team members to join them in the run. Each year the interest has grown, and more team members have joined in.
“It is a great team event because it’s open to everyone. People can run at their own pace, and there’s wide variety of different running skill levels that participate in the event. People like getting out, having fun and doing something with their team members.” Says Manjot.
Manjot also says that after the race is always a great time to bond with team members. Usually, the Northcoast team will all grab a well-earned lunch together to celebrate their accomplishment.
Congratulations to all those at Northcoast who participated in the 10K race! We look forward to see what you do next year.
