The Government of Canada Encourages Research on Reducing Antibiotic Use in the Poultry Industry

Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) has announced an investment of $690,000 to Éleveurs de volailles du Québec (ÉVQ) to help the Quebec poultry industry reduce the preventive use of antibiotics. Under this project, the Poultry Research Chair at the University of Montreal's Faculty of Veterinary Medicine will assess various alternative strategies and their effects on flock performance. >> Read full article

The Government of Canada has announced an investment of $10 million over seven years to bring one of the world's most respected experts in food security to Canada.
