Lineage Bolsters Strategic Footprint in Canada with Acquisitions and Expansions

Lineage Inc., a temperature-controlled warehouse real estate investment trust, has completed the acquisition of three cold storage facilities in Canada. The company purchased two facilities in Sainte-Brigide-d'Iberville, Quebec from Entrepôt Congelé 10/35 and its affiliates, along with a separate facility in Laval, Quebec.


Canada begins LNG exports with first cargo shipment

LNG Canada shipped its first cargo of liquefied natural gas on June 30, 2025, marking the beginning of operations at Canada's first large-scale LNG export facility. The facility is located in Kitimat, B.C., in the traditional territory of the Haisla Nation.


Alberta to Hold Nuclear Power Consultations as Reactor Companies Weigh Opportunities

Alberta plans to hold public consultations this fall on adding nuclear power to the province's energy mix, Premier Danielle Smith said Monday. There have long been discussions about building reactors in Alberta but the province is currently reliant on greenhouse-gas emitting natural gas for electricity.
