New Era to Bring Coating & Laminating Line to ICE USA

New Era Converting Machinery will be exhibiting a purpose built coating line capable of running at 500 fpm under constant, closed loop tension control. The machine can handle 50” diameter input bundles at 60” wide, laminating two materials prior to windup. Featured is a specialty coating station of modular design to allow the customer to change coating technologies in the future as their business grows.

Mechanical Specialties patented the first self-locking core chuck. The chucks are self-locking in either direction and self-adjusting to the web tension pull. We also make specialty and custom chucks.

Davis-Standard’s Five-Roll Silicone Coater at ICE USA

Davis-Standard’s converting technology and support services will be promoted at this year’s ICE USA, booth #411. Experts will be on hand to discuss current technology, including the company’s five-roll silicone coater. The coater is capable of applying 100 percent silicone at rates up to 2400 fpm (732 mpm). This coater is constructed of stainless steel for ease of cleanup and includes a mist removal system.
