New robotic gantry Carton Trac Serialization system stops product counterfeiting

See how Pineberry Manufacturing worked with Schneider Electric to develop its Carton Trac Serialization and Aggregation System to automatically code and collate cartons for a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer.

The small footprint system features a Schneider Electric PLC that monitors all movements of package serialization and banding.

After individual serialization occurs a Schneider Electric-designed robotic gantry gently grabs 4 packs at a time with its EOAT (end-of-arm-tool) gripper and stacks them 3 levels high-creating tidy blocks of 12 packs for banding and barcoding. The high-speed gantry system is driven by several Schneider Electric servo motors that ensure accuracy and efficiency for the robotic system.
