Festo's new desktop ELGC/ESGC drive series provides low-cost solutions for lightweight, high-volume applications requiring high precision. This economical series of compact linear drives includes ELGC spindle and tooth-belt axes and EGSC mini-slides. The genius of these additions to Festo's extensive portfolio of electric handling systems is their common platform architecture, which allows them to be easily combined to form multi-axis systems like cantilevers, pick and place solutions, or linear 2D or 3D gantries. Two ELGC drives or an ELGC and EGSC mini-slide can be joined without the need for external adaptors or special assembly tools or knowhow. It couldn't be simpler.
