 At a recent Ishida snack packaging installation, our customer faced a production challenge due to recently shifting emphasis to small pillow bags for their snack products because of the popularity of smaller portions. Their current equipment (three weigher/bagmaker combinations), would be unable to keep up, so their solution included acquiring an Ishida Total Packing System consisting of an 18-head weigher mounted over twin Atlas bagmakers to replace their older combinations.
 The resulting weigher solution offered maximum efficiency to get compact doses of product into the bags at high speed, and the bagmakers delivered high speed packaging, good quality seals, and quick changeovers while offering a simple user interface via the touchscreen.
