The new GN 817.6 offers the basic functionality of an indexing plunger with the key addition of an attachable sensor for electronic monitoring of the plunger pin position.
A small magnet is integrated in the plunger pin that activates the sensor when the pin is approximately 2/3 of the way to the end point of the locking distance. The sensor then delivers a high signal, e.g. to a machine control unit, and additionally indicates the switch state with an LED on the sensor.
These indexing plungers are available with or without lock-out function in all common sizes from 4 to 16 millimeters in pin diameter and thread sizes from M8 to M24 - and are therefore suitable for all types of applications. Conventional indexing plungers can easily be replaced due to the standard connection dimensions. All versions are made of stainless steel, as this material shields the integrated magnet only minimally, eliminating sensor malfunctions. Find out more at www.jwwinco.ca.
