Focus on two of the topics developed during
the JEC Americas Conferences

May 4th, Full Day Session from 10:30am to 4pm

Carbon Fiber in the Automotive Industry: Global Best Practices

As the largest market for composite materials, automotive applications are under increasingly high pressure to comply to environmental concerns and laws, with the consequence of making light-weighting a primary goal. Carbon fiber is indisputably part of the solution and one of the main challenges this industry faces is using carbon fiber parts in mass production volumes. However, using carbon fiber makes developments in repairing and recycling equally necessary. Taking place over a full day with two distinct sessions, this conference day will bring numerous experts.

Morning Session

Afternoon Session – in partnership with TUM and Stuttgart University

May 3rd 1:30pm - 3:45pm

Aeronautics: Advances and Innovations for Composite Materials

All the latest aircraft generations have come to increasingly include composite materials, an obvious choice thanks to their superior strength and lightweight benefits. The challenges of the aeronautics industry are numerous: providing lighter components in order to reduce fuel consumption and comply with environmental requirements as well as constantly improving performance. This session will delve into new developments and innovative technologies and materials that will help conquer these challenges: developments in carbon fiber technologies, repair and diagnostics, etc.

With speakers from the following companies/universities:
