The latest quarterly update to the five-year forecast for equipment rental industry revenues released by the American Rental Association (ARA) continues to call for steady gains through 2021. In Canada, the latest five-year forecast continues to call for accelerating revenue growth each year, starting with a 2.7 percent increase in 2017 to reach $5.12 billion. Total rental revenue in Canada is expected to grow another 3.2 percent in 2018, 4.7 percent in 2019, 5.1 percent in 2020 and 5.6 percent in 2021 to reach $6.14 billion.

The Manitowoc Company has announced that after more than 20 years of service to The Manitowoc Company Lawrence J. Weyers provided notice to the Board of Directors of the Company of his desire to leave the Company, effective August 31, 2017. Weyers currently serves as Executive Vice President, Tower Cranes, and has held various other executive management positions since joining the Company in 1998.
