Vancouver poised to ban gas blowers

Municipality after municipality across the country is contemplating bylaws banning gas-powered leaf blowers, and sometimes other gas-powered lawncare equipment, in urban spaces. Vancouver city council recently passed a motion to phase out these items by 2024 that “includes lawn mowers, chainsaws and hedge trimmers, for personal and commercial use.”
