Seminar: Receiving Toronto Van Attack Victims

On April 23, 10 people were killed and 16 others injured as the result of a vehicular attack in Toronto. In the wake of the tragedy, Sunnybrook Health Sciences was one of the major hospitals to receive victims. Sunnybrook’s manager of security services Bruna Mariano will walk us through the process of instigating an ER lockdown, as well as some of the responsibilities that come with managing the aftermath of a tragic event, such as dealing with media requests and the debriefing process.
