ASIS 193: DE&I Committee Event - Black History Month Building Bridges Event

The DE&I committee is hosting an event on Wednesday, February 15 at 1PM to celebrate Black History Month.
This seminar is being held in person at Sweat and Tonic located at 225 Yonge St, Toronto, ON J4Y 0K7
Join us for an informative talk from Tee Garnett, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion Executive Lead & Strategic Advisor at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), followed by a networking session. Key takeaways from this session are to:
- Understand positionality, intersectionality & how various identities experience systems
- Become aware of biases and how to identify and unpack them
- Understand what ally ship is, and the actions involved in becoming one
