Ontario looking at hydrogen fuel cells to electrify Toronto’s GO rail network

The province is finally retiring its diesel locomotives. Along with pricing out conventional wired electrified rails, it's also exploring hydrogen-powered trains, which could save on infrastructure costs and make use of Ontario's surplus of clean power it currently exports to the U.S.
