Advanced Drainage Systems acquires Duraslot

Advanced Drainage Systems announced it has acquired Duraslot, Inc., a manufacturer of storm water collection surface drains used in a variety of construction applications.

System could remove both nitrate and phosphorus

Researchers from the University of Illinois studied whether they could remove phosphorus with woodchip bioreactors by adding a special "P-filter.” The team tested two types of industrial waste products in the P-filters: acid mine drainage treatment residual (MDR) and steel slag.

Funding available for Ontario farmers to implement BMPs

A unique funding opportunity, called the Priority Subwatershed Project, provides farmers with cost share support to implement best management practices (BMPs) related to measurably improving soil health and water quality.
