Using drones to find drainage pipes

Aging drainage pipe and existing time-consuming methods mean that new methods for finding drainage pipes are needed. Drones capable of obtaining thermal infrared imagery have the potential to create effective and efficient mapping of subsurface drainage systems.


Ohio governor signs order to toughen control of fertilizer pollution

The executive order sets aside $36 million to help address the algae problem in Lake Erie and to help farmers buy equipment and take steps to reduce fertilizer runoff.


Iowa Drainage School program deadline approaches

Teams will survey and design a drainage system for a sample area of the host farm during the Iowa Drainage School program, which runs from August 21 to 23. The program focuses on the design, installation and maintenance of drainage systems.
