Ditch-cleaning bill encounters environmental objections

A proposal to allow Oregon farmers to clean more sediment from ditches without a permit has encountered opposition from environmentalists who warn of unintended consequences.


U.K. Land Drainage Contractors merge with larger ag lobbying group

The Land Drainage Contractors Association is merging again with the National Association of Agricultural Contractors after a split in 1984. The newly merged organization will focus on lobbying on the importance of drainage and providing training for contractors.


New product: Flex Tap Tee making connections easier

Third-generation drainage contractor Curt Yoder came up with the design for the Flex Tap Tee after spending many years making connections for his family’s drainage business and looking for a way to make tap tees easier to install.
