Expansive agricultural dataset now available from Purdue University

The dataset is the result of nearly 40 years of drainage research that began primarily to evaluate the spacing of subsurface drainage on flow and corn yield.


USDA awards $4.7 million for wetland mitigation banking program

That includes nearly $700,000 for Iowa Agricultural Mitigation, which will close the last two remaining agricultural drainage wells in Wright County.


Michigan to open registration for 2023 drainage design workshops

A different landscape

Over the last 10 years, Ontario farmer Timo Brielmann and his family have transformed their cattle operation into an 8,800-acre grain farm – still not an incredibly common operation where Brielmann resides, in the Rainy River district in Northwestern Ontario. Even less common in the northern parts of the province is subsurface drainage, although recent provincial investments have prompted an increase in the installation of tile drainage to support the region’s growing agriculture industry.
