When times are unpredictable

Historically, drainage has been part of a wider issue for farmers in Ohio. For more than 200 years, we have known that you can’t grow crops in the area without draining the soil. Historically, this was either marshland, or poorly drained areas in what we now know as the corn-belt. In the days of the settlers, when they tried to farm the land, their biggest challenge was how to sustain crop production. But another persisting problem which has only grown more pronounced over time has been the varying of wetness and precipitation from year to year.
