In Ontario, contractors often say there is a lifetime guarantee on drainage systems. But as they’ve seen some evidence of pipe cracking and deterioration over the years, they have come to wonder if they can stand behind the quality of drainage pipe as confidently. A LICO pipe quality subcommittee recently determined self-certification is no longer enough to maintain confidence in the quality of drainage pipe, and that LICO didn’t have the resources to update and certify its own 2006 standard.
