Lights go out in The Good Shepherd homeless shelter…

... and come back on better than ever! The Canadian Electrical Contractors Association’s University of Toronto student chapter took on the task of retrofitting the Good Shepherd Centre’s lighting to improve the energy efficiency of the shelter’s 100-year-old building.


Elmsdale residents piloting Powerwalls in Nova Scotia Power project

Known as the Intelligent Feeder, the pilot involves the installation of residential energy storage batteries (Tesla Powerwalls) at 10 homes in the Elmsdale community, and a much larger grid-sized battery (Tesla Powerpack) at the Elmsdale substation.
