Investment in building construction down 1.9% in May

Investment in building construction cooled slightly in May, decreasing 1.9% to $19.4 billion, Statscan reports. This was the first drop in seven months.


Ottawa decrees: 100% zero-emission car and passenger truck sales

The feds “will pursue a combination of investments and regulations to help Canadians and industry transition to achieve the 100% zero-emission vehicle sales by 2035”, reports Transport Canada.


4-MIL from Ontario to support “current and future construction workers”

Under the auspices of the Provincial Building & Construction Trades Council, these projects will promote the trades, train future workers and “ensure that current workers have the right tools and mental health supports they need”.
