An important part of Canada’s efforts to reach net-zero by 2050 is to increase residential energy efficiency, says NRCan, which is why the Minister of Natural Resources announced the first call for proposals for Toward Net-Zero Homes and Communities. The new program offers funding for projects that explore and implement technologies and practices that increase energy reliability and efficiency, while making homes and residences “more comfortable and more affordable”.

The independent electrical distributor announced that its Victoria, B.C., branch has moved to a new location as of July 25. “It has always been our goal to provide our Greater Victoria customers with a convenient location where they can quickly and easily access all products and services they need without the uncertain delivery times common with off-island distributors,” said Tim Horsman, president & CEO.
