First public review of proposed changes to the 2020 National Model Codes

The Canadian Commission on Building and Fire Codes (CCBFC) is inviting the public to take part in the first public review of proposed changes to the 2020 editions of the National Model Codes, including the National Building Code of Canada, the National Fire Code of Canada, the National Plumbing Code of Canada and the National Energy Code of Canada for Buildings.

Ontario, B.C. and Quebec will fall well below affordable housing supply targets

In June 2022, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) released Canada’s Housing Supply Shortages: Estimating what is needed to solve Canada’s housing affordability crisis by 2030 (ESG 2030), which took initial steps to estimate how much additional housing supply is required to restore housing affordability by 2030.
