The Electrical Contractors Association of Ontario has joined U.S.-based National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) as its 119th full Chapter, reports NECA. “This new alliance with NECA is an amazing opportunity for ECAO electrical contractor members,” said Graeme Aitken. “NECA’s vast educational and training offerings, along with their strong industry research capabilities, will be an asset for our members.”

ABB is investing $16 million in its Installation Products Division manufacturing facility in Quebec, saying it will enable expanded production capacity “to meet the growing needs of customers from coast to coast”. The expansion will create over 60 full-time jobs in the upgraded 75,000-sf facility to deliver legacy Canadian brands produced here, including Marrette wire connectors, the NuTek series of non-metallic thermoplastic boxes, and Snap-it plastic fittings.
