The Electrical Safety Authority has opened the call for nominations for the 2024 edition of its annual awards. “It takes just one individual or organization to improve safety,” says ESA. “Whether they accomplish this through strong leadership, electrical safety programs/projects, or a commitment to contributing to the health and wellness of the industry, it is important to recognize these individuals.”

Eaton announced it is opening a new assembly plant in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic, to meet customer demand for its fuses. The new 65,000-sf facility will increase supplies of Bussmann series fuses, which are used in electric vehicles, renewable and energy storage projects, data centres, and other industrial applications.

At the IBEW 586 training centre in Ottawa, Canada’s Building Trades Unions kicked off “Building it green”, heralding it as “the first comprehensive, climate-focused construction education curriculum designed for tradespeople, by tradespeople”.
