ABB Electrification Canada-Installation Products has completed a licensing agreement in Canada with Black Box Innovations. Based in Calgary, Black Box’s patented technology enables electric vehicles and other devices to charge or operate when there is sufficient electrical capacity available, but also automatically stop or reduce electrical usage when capacity is limited.

In collaboration with BC Hydro, the BC Centre for Innovation and Clean Energy (CICE) has launched a Call for Energy Storage Innovation to accelerate the commercialization and scaling of energy storage in British Columbia. “Together, we can fast-track market readiness, attract investment, and strengthen BC’s leadership in clean energy innovation,” said CICE president & CEO Sarah Goodman.
