Prysmian secures massive $96.5-million trade secrets verdict against Sterlite

Prysmian reports it has won its trade secrets case against competitor Sterlite Technologies Inc. and Stephen S., a former executive, and was awarded $96,500,000 in damages. Following a three-week trial, the jury found that Sterlite was unjustly enriched by taking Prysmian’s trade secrets. Additionally, the jury found that Stephen S. had been unjustly enriched by misappropriating Prysmian’s trade secrets.


“This isn’t politics: this is physics” – Electricity Canada slams Ottawa’s Clean Electricity Regulations

“The [federal] government’s proposed Clean Electricity Regulations will determine how trillions of dollars’ worth of investments will be spent. We need regulations, though, that work in the real world [...] across our vast country for all Canadians,” said Electricity Canada CEO Francis Bradley, whose members are concerned these regulations will make electricity less reliable, and drastically affect affordability.

In October, owners of JuiceBox electric vehicle supply equipment were informed by Enel X Way North America of its decision to close its electric mobility business in the U.S. and Canada.
