Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners announced that power from the Buffalo Plains Wind Farm was delivered to the Alberta grid for the first time. Located on 17,500 acres of privately owned farmland near Lomond in Vulcan County, the project will consist of 83 turbines with a total capacity of ~495 MW when completed, making it the largest onshore wind farm in Canada.

Established as a separate, independent business back in May, Kohler Energy has officially rebranded under its new corporate name: Rehlko (pron. “RELL-koh), an anagram of Kohler. Rehlko CEO Brian Melka says the new name “reflects the reliability, resolve, reinvention, and resilience that have been—and will remain—the hallmarks of this organization”.

Through its US subsidiary, Hammond Power Solutions Inc. has completed the acquisition of assets relating to the operations of Micron Industries Corp. HPS is a manufacturer of dry-type transformers and power quality solutions. Micron is a supplier of control transformers, serving OEMs and control system builders, as well as low-voltage transformers and DC power supplies.
