ABB investment into Lumin evolves into full acquisition

Following an investment in the company a year ago, ABB has now acquired Lumin—a U.S.-based provider of energy management systems—to expand its home energy management capabilities in the North American residential sector. “We’re excited to welcome Lumin into the ABB family at a time when electrification across North America is a transformative megatrend,” said ABB’s Mike Mustapha.

Capstone executes 30-year PPAs for 537 MW of wind power in BC

Independent power producer Capstone Infrastructure Corp. announced the execution of three 30-year Electricity Purchase Agreements with BC Hydro. The three wind projects—Brewster, Highland Valley, Mount Mabel—will have a total combined capacity of 537 MW, and are expected to generate about 1.4 million MWh of electricity annually.
