The Weavers Mountain Wind Project in Antigonish and Pictou counties has reached financial close and is set to move forward. The 94.4-MW development will include 16 wind turbines equipped with anti-icing technology and is expected to begin commercial operations in 2026. Glooscap First Nation holds a majority stake in the project through a joint venture with SWEB Development.
