Manitoba Hydro issues RFQS for up to 600 MW of Indigenous-owned windpower

Manitoba Hydro is advancing its efforts to bring Indigenous majority-owned windpower to the province, and has issued a Request for Qualified Suppliers (RFQS). This Call for Power will see the utility purchase up to 600 MW of new wind energy in Manitoba through power purchase agreements.


Ulkatcho’s solar project to displace 1.1 million litres of diesel

Ottawa is providing an additional $4.9 million in funding to support the Anahim Lake Solar Project, which aims to reduce British Columbia’s Ulkatcho First Nation’s reliance on diesel generation by about 64%, or roughly 1.1 million litres of diesel a year.
