General Motors is ending production of the BrightDrop electric delivery van built at CAMI Assembly in Ingersoll, Ont. The commercial electric delivery van market developed much slower than expected, said GM, noting the Ingersoll plant has been operating below capacity and production suspended since May 2025.

Good estimating is a process, but there’s always pressure to deliver quickly while staying accurate. Finding the right balance between efficiency and accuracy leads to successful outcomes, while ill-advised shortcuts or compromises can cause serious problems for your bid and your business.
“Speeding up the process by simply finding ways to cut out time is not the same as being efficient. When things get missed, and the outputs aren’t as good or better, then you are not finding efficiencies—you’re cutting corners,” writes John M. Wiesel.
That said, Wiesel suggests you can put better processes in place to become more efficient, faster.
