PEI offering up to $5,000 to build energy-efficient homes

A certified energy advisor will review the building’s plans and provide guidance on how to improve the efficiency of the design. After the home is completed, its efficiency is verified and homeowners will be issued up to $5,000 in rebates.


FortisBC’s Efficiency in Action Awards recognize customers for reducing energy use

FortisBC recently recognized 10 regional organizations that achieved significant energy savings in their sectors over the past year. This year’s award recipients reduced electricity use by approximately 6,700 mWh, equal to the annual electricity use of about 600 homes.


Lighting retrofit project saves College Square retail complex energy and money

College Square, an Ottawa, Ont.-based retail complex spanning 389,244 sf, featuring retailers such as Loblaws, Home Depot and LCBO, recently received an exterior lighting upgrade. Industrial and commercial facilities in a range of sectors, including manufacturing, oil and gas, wholesale trades, warehousing and waste management, can apply to receive incentive funding for custom energy upgrades.
