SOFIAC expands energy efficiency offer to all Canadians

Previously a Quebec-only player, SOFIAC announced it will now offer its financial and technical resources for energy efficiency measures in commercial and industrial sector businesses across Canada. Owners of buildings with overall annual energy expenditures of their portfolio totalling over $500,000 will now be able to tap SOFIAC’s solutions.


GreenStep and FortisBC providing energy advice to small businesses

FortisBC has teamed up with GreenStep Solutions Inc. to provide small- and medium-sized enterprises with free, customized energy advice “to increase awareness of energy-saving behaviors and rebate programs that could help reduce their energy use, greenhouse gas emissions and costs in their operations”.


Emissions Reduction Alberta still accepting applications for projects

“The Energy Savings for Business Program supports a critical component of the economy: small- and medium-sized businesses,” said Heather Stephens, ERA’s COO. “The program will give Alberta companies and contractors fast access to cost-effective incentives; it will accelerate the adoption of technologies that significantly reduce GHGs and help position Alberta as a leader in sustainable resource and energy use.”
