To model future demand, assess the potential savings and boost efficiency measures, governments need accurate and reliable energy end‑use data across sectors, IEA insists. Having achieved top positioning for stationary batteries in its home market of China, including supplying the largest standalone ESS plant in the country, manufacturer Hithium entered North America with a view to supporting the region’s clean energy boom. As the market builds out, energy storage is essential to stabilising renewable power supply.
Located in Ningxia, China’s biggest standalone energy storage power station has a capacity of 400MWh and output of 1.33 billion kWh per year and features Hithium’s immersion liquid-cooling technology. Further Hithium product innovations reduced the floor area for this power station by 35%, thus significantly lowering LCOS.
