The Government of Canada issued a call for proposals for two new funding opportunities under the Sustainable Jobs Training Fund (SJTF). Projects will range from $8 million to $15 million each, and must focus on at least one of three areas that will help workers develop the skills required to seize opportunities in the low-carbon economy.

Ottawa launched its “strengthened” Oil to Heat Pump Affordability (OHPA) program in Nova Scotia, under which low- to median-income households can apply to receive up to $30,000 in funding to cover the full cost of switching to a heat pump. This includes up to $15,000 from the federal OHPA program and up to $15,000 from the Province of Nova Scotia.
