International awards celebrate innovation and excellence in energy

The Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) announced the honorees of its 2024 International Awards, which celebrate “individuals, organizations, agencies, and corporations who are leading the way in innovation and excellence”. Among those honorees is Canada’s Mathieu Côte, the executive director of Canadian Institute for Energy Training (CIET), an organization delivering energy management capacity-building across Canada and around the world.

Efficiency Capital and Mitsubishi Electric Sales Canada Inc. have entered into cross-promotional partnership “to make low-carbon building solutions more accessible to building owners and operators across Canada”. They will offer turnkey solutions with little to no upfront capital so that owners can reap the financial benefits of upgrading their assets with modern technologies.


London’s Non-profit Resiliency Project to help retrofit low-income, non-profit MURBs

In Ontario, the London Environmental Network (LEN) is receiving $425,935 through the federal Smart Renewables & Electrification Pathways (SREP) program to help multi-unit residential buildings owned by low-income, non-profit organizations get to net-zero.
