QUEST Canada invites small- and mid-sized municipalities across Ontario to join the new Ontario Net-zero Communities Accelerator (NCA) program, with an initial call for a cohort of 15. Participating municipalities will receive tailored services to help them develop or implement a community energy plan or initiative.


ABB investment into residential energy management solutions provider evolves into full acquisition

Following an investment in the company a year ago, ABB has now acquired Lumin—a U.S.-based provider of energy management systems—to expand its home energy management capabilities in the North American residential sector. Lumin’s platform allows for the integration of any brand of load centre, battery system, or generator.


Econext to spearhead new $7M GMF residential retrofit program in St. John’s

The City of St. John’s is on the receiving end of $7 million from the Green Municipal Fund’s Community Efficiency Financing (CEF) initiative to support a new residential retrofit program. The funding, which includes a $5-million grant and a $2-million credit enhancement, aims to make it easier for owners to access financing for energy-saving home upgrades, such as insulation, heat pumps, and solar installations.
