Dream Industrial launches 34-property retrofit backed by $50M from CIB

The Canada Infrastructure Bank and Dream Industrial REIT have finalized a $50M loan to fund commercial property retrofits related to energy efficiency and emissions reductions at 34 warehouses across Alberta, Ontario, and Quebec. “We are excited to partner with the CIB to complete large-scale energy efficiency improvements across our Canadian industrial portfolio,” said president & CEO Alexander Sannikov.

Efficiency Manitoba to lead retrofits under new Canada Greener Homes Affordability Program

Tim Hodgson, Canada’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, announced Ottawa’s first agreement under the new Canada Greener Homes Affordability Program, signed with the Province of Manitoba. This newly launched program aims to help low- to median-income households reduce their energy bills and GHG emissions through no-cost home retrofits.
